You just turned 9 months old, and your favorite song is Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” When we put on the video, you stop everything and watch like this.
Kessler rocking on her ladybug at 8 months old!
Here you are trying to pull up to standing a few weeks before you turned 8 months old. Now, of course, you stand up every time. But staying there is difficult when you only hold on with one hand! You don’t have have that kind of balance yet. Dangerous!
You are now 8 months old. This is the ladybug rocker my bosses gave you before you were born. You just learned how to sit up on your own a week or two ago. You have learned to smirk like your Daddy. You also squinch up your whole face and breathe forcefully through your nose when you’re frustrated, or sometimes, when you’re feeling playful. My laughter stops you. It’s hilarious to see you do it. You crawl everywhere and pull up on the coffee table and book shelf. We had to get you your own remote control because you keep stealing ours. You love every vegetable I feed you, but you’re not so fond of plain water. I usually add a little prune juice. This is your third week in daycare with Jane Jones (Nana), and you’re recovering from your first cold. You take liquid medicine well. You cry every morning when I leave you, except for today, because Luca was already there to greet you. You’re waking up once per night for a diaper change and some milk. But you’ll sleep a total of about 12 hours. Everyone thinks you’re super cute, but they are divided on whether you look like Mommy or Daddy.
